We need you to be able to search each product name individually. We have found that we will likely need to “clean up” the individual product names and remove symbols, short forms and other problems etc that amazon does not recognize. I have been doing this by hand and have learned what amazon returns with different searches. It is actually quite dramatically different.
Amazon.com ranks each product sales volume in each of its product categories. We only want the top 10% best sellers. In Baby Products, for example, the top 10% has a ranking of about 350,000. In Beauty and Personal Care, it is about 1,000,000. For Grocery & Gourmet Food, it is 325,000. For Health and Household, it is about 800,000. For Home & Kitchen, it is 6,500,000 and for Pet Supplies it is about 550,000.
